Mississippi Votes is looking for Interns for Summer 2026 in all of the following surroundings regions: South Region (University of Southern Mississippi (USM); and surrounding Community Colleges); Coastal Region (USM; and surrounding Community Colleges) Delta Region (Delta State University and surrounding Community Colleges).

A FREE, week-long residential program for rising high school JUNIORS AND SENIORS (2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR) interested in civic leadership, policy, and social change.
SYPI immerses students in hands-on learning that builds knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills.

Gain hands-on experience in grassroots organizing, communications, data management, and political education, while working alongside local and state leaders.

Open to all Mississippi high school students ages 14-18 who want to build leadership skills, engage their communities, and make a difference in civic life.
